What’s the story behind Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga
Nested on the banks of the holy Shipra River in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, stands the
Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling, it is one of the twelve most sacred forms of Lord Shiva. Unlike
most lingams that are ritually established, the Mahakaleshwar lingam is believed to be
Swayambhu, who is a self-manifested form, radiating divine energy from within itself.
Devotees say you can almost feel the pulse of Shakti flowing through it.
